About This Spot

Roberts Block Restaurant invites you into a warm, inviting space where the hum of conversation blends effortlessly with soft live music drifting from the patio. Nestled in the heart of Glenside, this spot strikes a thoughtful balance between relaxed neighborhood charm and the vibrant energy of an approachable bar. Whether you're settling in for an evening pint or arriving early for a pre-show meal, the atmosphere encourages a slow, easy enjoyment of the moment.

The layout feels open and welcoming, with a long bar that beckons a casual chat over expertly crafted cocktails or a carefully poured IPA. Amid comfortable seating options—ranging from cozy corners to seats with a good view of the lively patio—you find a place that adapts to your rhythm, whether you're meeting friends, unwinding after work, or soaking up the weekend buzz. There's a thoughtful attentiveness here, where servers tune in to your timing and taste without fuss, letting you savor both food and company without feeling rushed.

Speaking of food, the menu echoes the approachable yet inventive spirit of the place. I find myself drawn just as easily to the satisfying juiciness of a medium-rare burger as to unexpected delights like root beer wings or a seasonal spicy margarita with a bruleed pineapple twist that lingers delightfully on the palate. The dishes feel familiar yet elevated, with moments of playful flair—perfectly matching the venue’s unpretentious but lively character.

The true charm of Roberts Block lies in the small human moments—the friendly greeting at the door, the server’s nuanced knowledge of menu and timing, the easy camaraderie at the bar during quiz nights, or the gentle thrum of music on a Friday evening that never overwhelms the room but adds a layer of warmth and community. It’s a spot where locals feel genuinely at home and visitors can seamlessly slip into the rhythm of the neighborhood.

Great place for a pre show meal. It's about a 10-15 minute walk to the Keswick. Server was great. She asked us how much time we had to get to the show and timed everything perfectly. All the food we had was good, but the pierogis and soup really stood out. Thank you!

One of the best restaurants in Glenside and the surrounding area. Great cocktails, fun Quizzo on Wednesday, great staff, lots of specials, and the food is always great.

Visited this establishment on the advice of friends. The food was delicious. My party was greeted at the door upon our arrival. We were seated right away by our waitress. Our waitress was quick to take our order, very knowledgeable about the menu, and very attentive. She was also very friendly and polite. The venue was very clean. There is table seating (high and low chair seats) or seating at their bar. Ample parking is available in and around their parking lot.

First time here and we will most definitely be back. We were greeted immediately upon arrival and seated within 2 minutes. The atmosphere was extremely friendly and relaxing . We are seated in an open space next to the outside patio where there was live music. Traditionally we don’t like live music while dining, however this guy was very good and the sound level was low. Perfect! As for the food. I would rate a 10 out of 10 . The Pierogis were absolutely amazing . Covered in bacon pieces and onions! Perfection. As for the filet mignon and the ribs I felt like I was back home at my mother’s . They were both cooked to perfection and tasted amazing! Best meal in awhile and we frequent restaurants every week. Well done to the chef and staff
